Paul Hergenrother, PhD is the Kenneth L. Rinehart Endowed Chair in Natural Products Chemistry at the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign. He established his laboratory in 2001 to study compound accumulation in Gram-negative bacteria. Paul earned his PhD in Chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin and completed an American Cancer Society postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University in the laboratory of Professor Stuart L. Schreiber.
